Pianist Bill Charlap has the whole history of jazz at his fingertips. Born in New York in 1966 to a cabaret-singer mother and a Broadway-composer father, this Grammy winner has performed alongside many major artists, from Tony Bennett and Wynton Marsalis to Jim Hall, Ron Carter and Dee Dee Bridgewater.
